Today, we are releasing XenForo 2.1.12 to address two potential security vulnerabilities. We strongly recommend that all customers running XenForo 2.1 upgrade to 2.1.12 or use the attached patch file as soon as possible. The issues are XSS vulnerabilities. XSS (Cross Site Scripting) issues allow scripts and malicious HTML to be injected into the page, potentially allowing data theft or unauthenticated access. XenForo extends thanks to security researcher Vincent ibn Winnie for... Read more Written by XenForo - (Weiterlesen)

Today we continue the release candidate stage of XenForo 2.2 with Release Candidate 2. We recommend that all customers running previous 2.2 versions upgrade to this release. This release is similar to the previous betas, but indicates that we are now a step closer to the stable 2.2.0 release. This is still considered a pre-release version, so we do not recommend running it in production and ticket support for this version is not yet available. More specific details regarding bugs fixed in... Read more Written by XenForo - (Weiterlesen)

Over the past ten years, XenForo has grown its market share consistently, helping all-new communities to spring forth and giving those previously running on other software platforms the opportunity to migrate and take advantage of the stability and rich functionality offered by our platform. But there has always been a barrier to entry. Prospective community managers had to organise their own web hosting, manage the download and installation of the XenForo software and supervise any... XenForo architecture in ten minutes
With the publication of our Building with XenForo 2 video series, we've received various questions about a presenting broad overview of the XenForo architecture as a jumping-off point for would-be developers who want to know roughly what's going on behind the scenes. Therefore, with dubious penmanship, we've put together... Read more Written by XenForo - (Weiterlesen)
A long time ago, in a forum not particularly far, far away (may the fourth be with you), we produced a series of videos showing off how easy it was to build rich pages with XenForo's templates and javascript framework. While many of the principles demonstrated in these videos remain a key part of XenForo 2, most of the syntax employed by XenForo 1 back then has changed, and there are many more tools at your... However, we have recently been informed that restrictions may be placed on the reCAPTCHA key included in XenForo. This may lead to CAPTCHAs not being enforced or failing to validate. To avoid disruption, we urge customers to take one of the actions below to resolve this issue. Best solution:... Read more Written by XenForo - (Weiterlesen)
